The course made a big dicovery last nigth. The egypcian Obama was among us, and we didn’t noticed before. Our egypcian ‘meber’ just looks like the american president. The resenblance exist (at least after a couple of beers). The cosmopolitan feeling is growing every minute….I promise I would upload a video of him a litle later.

October 29, 2009Cosmopolitan London
October 28, 2009It just feels the way it should be. Ours class, in the Reuters-Thompson foundation, is a very obvious parallel of the melting pot that is London. There are people from Latvia, Rumania, Egypt, Georgia, Colombia (my self), Iran…off course, we don’t live in London, but you just have to walk around a little to be amazed by how multi-ethnic is this city, one of the most cosmopolitan in the world. And in the classroom, you have that feeling too.
(Although we are staying in Canary Wharf, where the sterile environment doesn’t represent London diversity)
Just when we start to compare some blogs that we like, the variety was astonishing, and you can see some of that in my blogroll. There is the one I recommend, Generation Y from Cuban citizen Yoani Sanchez, along with Babylon and beyond (about Iraq, Iran, Israel, the Arab world and beyond) or Nick Robinson’s newslog about British politics.
Anyway, yesterday we took some pictures in our windowless classroom, and that can give you an idea about how we look like.

Who is going to fall from the ‘big four’
October 27, 2009Do you think Machester, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal (the so called ‘big four’) will keep their places at the top of the Premier League this season? Is going to be interesting to see who is left behind in the title race. I hope is not Arsenal, with such a nice way to play, but they are still a young squad.
Anyaway, I found in The Guardian this interesting analysis about how the top teams are more vulnerable this season.
The first one: Beckham to Milan
October 26, 2009MILAN (Reuters) – David Beckham will definitely return to AC Milan on loan in January, chief executive Adriano Galliani said Monday.
The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder, who wants to play in Europe to try to secure his place in England’s World Cup squad, had previously said the deal was 95 percent done.
